Oprah Gail Winfrey’s rags to
riches life story (note her WNLC10 and four paired 10s!)
delightfully supports the propositions put forward in the previous
case studies. Her LDs are more briefly summarised focussing on their
outstanding features. Practise on those not treated.
Again, a freer, approach is used to synthesise the ways that each LD
adds more depth and meaning to the other by integrating their
complementary and divergent features. The continuing aim is to
reveal more advanced techniques as each is learned and mastered to
encourage the development of higher and higher levels of
interpretive expertise while at the same time achieving a deeper
understanding of each LD type’s dynamics and the way they work in
concert with one another.
WNLD: The most interesting
thing to note about this LD is the amount of new numbers it brings
into play. Unlike Hugh’s, Oprah’s WNLD has many new numbers in it
which give her a much wider range of possibilities and abilities. As
a result, she may be categorised as being more flexible than and not
as rigid as Hugh.
The Power Inherent in the Reversed Numbers: Oprah’s numbers
are as amazing as she is – especially those that appear in her WNLD
backed up by those that can be created from pairing her SDs. Note
how Oprah drew on her powerful, “hidden” WNLPN31 (Tarot Key
“struggle” from WNLPN13’s reversal) to find a way out of her
oppressed conditions (two paired 62s). Oprah has seven 31s in total
which help to appreciate how palpable the “struggle” aspect is in
her life. Viewing Oprah’s two 62’s reversals as 26s, we have a truly
wonderful example of how the “present” number (62) and its “hidden”
number (26) operate. At first, Oprah was unable to speak out against
her molesters and persecutors – Key 62, the 8 of Swords. Then she
summoned the courage (62’s root 8) to find her voice and speak
openly against cruelty (8) in whatever form against any human being.
This is Oprah expressing her hidden 26 qualities. She has found her
voice and uses it to “broadcast” (aspects of 26, the Page of Wands)
her tale and share the wisdom (9) she has gained from her
psychological damaging (WNLC18s). Combine her 62/26s and 13/31s with
her 20s. See how she was endowed with the ability to break free from
oppressive conditions (62) to transcend, renew and completely
transform herself (20 and 13).
Oprah’s WNLPN49 provides another such example. Its reverse, 94
signifies having difficulty in defining and keeping within certain
boundaries eg. finding the self-discipline to control
self-indulgence problems such as her persistent weight problem. It
also signifies difficulties with males.
High Potential for Self-Transformation: Link Oprah’s four
paired 21s to her 13s, 20s, 31s, WNLG48 and 62s, and you have the
personification of the “Phoenix rising from the ashes” occurring at
some point in the life. The intensification of these numbers, plus
48, give Oprah the opportunity to self-transform which she has
voluntarily chosen (two WNLC18s) to do. From exercising this aspect
of her 18s, Oprah has moved forwards and upwards to help others (9)
from her “woundedness”. She has become the “Wounded Teacher/Healer”
(paired 33, WN LDRN38 and 9s from her WNLC18s) – a person who, from
the pain of her own experiences and the self-awareness which that
brings, teaches others (paired 33 and 11s) to overcome their
psychological wounding (18s) inflicted by others (LDR2s).
High Potential for Selfless Service: The numbers that support
the potential for developing humanitarianism and selfless service
are contained in Oprah’s WNLPN49 and WNLCR74 (the “Good Samaritan”)
and especially her heart WN29 and paired 33. 29 and 99 in her
highest WNLDR299 lean toward humanitarianism with 99 escalating this
quality to reach grand proportions. To fortify this theme, Oprah’s
SD inner square’s composition nicely supports the “Wounded
Teacher/Healer” and selfless service themes. Its 33, 21s and 11s
enfold her compassionate SD “heart 2”, contributing to her becoming
a world (21s) teacher (33, 11s and SDLGR5) through the medium of
television WNLDR38! Her SD square’s ruler is 8. 8 signifies her
earthly work such as overcoming weaknesses and mastering specific
aspects and skills. The WN square’s ruler is 116 that splits to
create 11 and 16. 11 stands for education. 16 stands for being
jolted out of false realities eg, “light bulb moments”. This aspect
of 16 can be used as a self-correction tool via awarenesses gained
from the education aspect of the 11.
Earth and Spiritual Axes: Note how much of Oprah’s mundane
“Work” can be extrapolated from her SD earth axis. It has unfolded
as wanting to share (heart 2) her life experiences with the world
and provide an avenue for others to do the same with a view to
making the world a better place. This innate need to improve oneself
and “make a difference” basically stems from each axis’ combined
total of six paired 21s. She is using her 26s, as the Page of Wands,
from her SD spiritual axis to literally share (heart 2, through
WNLDR38’s TV and magazine medium) her opinions and those of others,
along similar veins, to the “World” (Key 21). Most importantly, for
her viewing public, Oprah has demonstrated how one can successfully
extricate oneself from seemingly impossible situations (those
difficult numbers) and reinvent oneself (20s, Judgement) to become a
better person (21s) and help others do the same (heart 2). In recent
shows, spiritual traits emerge at times which are the higher aspect
of her 20s and 21s.
The All-Powerful Third WNLG/C Pair: There is a strong
“protector“ element present in what Oprah has set herself to
achieve. It probably stems from her wounding (WNLC18) which is
expressed through her all-powerful WNLG78, the 10 of Pentacles. 78
is all-powerful because it represents the summation of her birthdate.
Its opposing, equally powerful WNLC18, The Moon, beautifully
supports this theme. It represents her keen interest in and use of
psychology as a tool for understanding her personal nature as well
as that of others – especially in respect to the abuse of women
(WNLC18 relates to The Moon – women, and WNLDR38; a prominent female
fighting for women’s rights; Oprah using her powerful 2s – The High
Priestess; as seen by her many fans).
WNLCR74: Although WNLCR74, the 6 of Pentacles, clearly
supports the above themes. It also symbolises Oprah’s challenge to
not be greedy or seek the limelight for her role as a benefactor.
What I have noticed is that people who set themselves up in this “78
sponsor role” often do not like to draw attention to their good
deeds. Oprah basks in the glory that her generosity attracts but
maybe a lot more goes on behind the scenes that we do not hear
about.
When an Apparent Lack is Not So: Because themes of struggle
and strife and the pain of adjustment are so prevalent in Oprah’s
life, you would expect to find several swords and/or fives
dominating her numbers. Not being obvious at first, they can be
found. But they need to be strongly positioned to account for such
prevailing themes. Two paired 62s on Oprah’s spiritual axis are the
easiest to find. As the 8 of Swords they account for some of Oprah’s
constraints. Another is 58, the 4 of Swords which rules her fourth
WN life cycle. It also signifies impediments. Yet another powerful
sword is located in Justice’s Key forming the base of Oprah’s inner
square and Star. Then Zain, the seventh letter in the Hebrew
alphabet means a sword. Because Zain is allocated to The Lovers (Key
6), it forms a “sword” association with all of Oprah’s 6s. One holds
the powerful third, SD goal position and two more rule her first and
second life cycles. These swords confirm a strong presence which is
otherwise hidden if her LD’s are treated superficially. They are
wonderful assets for attaining liberation in that they enable Oprah
to sever the ties that bind and inhibit her as well as cut away the
dross in her life.
Now to finding Oprah’s 5s. They rule her third life cycle, her Star
and her goals. Because they are holding prominent positions, this
helps to make up for their apparent lack in the LD. These 5s
facilitate the urge to change one’s life for the better, due to the
high degree of discomfort experienced.
Due to the introduction of many new ideas and approaches, it would
be wrong for you to get the notion that the traditional method is
losing its impact. On the contrary, Oprah’s SDLD was purposefully
favoured in the above analysis to demonstrate that it is not
obsolete, especially when it contains its unique idiosyncrasies and
precious types of information which is inordinately valuable to the
numerologist. For instance, consider the four 1s, in her challenge
area. On the one hand they point to a damaged sense of self; on the
other they signify having the potential to single-handedly achieve
something momentous which may be the product of the type of damaging
that Oprah experienced. The positioning of SDs in a LD is so
important. From their positions, they impart essential information
that is vital to deciphering the Life Path thereby maintaining their
value.
Where would we be if we did not have SDLDs to apply number-pairing
to them and extrapolate their inner squares and Stars of David and
know which numbers were on which axis? Bill’s, Hugh’s and Oprah’s
SDLDs are a testimony to that, as is Joan of Arc’s that follows. The
traditional method of constructing the SDLD has proven itself over
the centuries – it is in using new deciphering techniques to update
outmoded methods where the difference lies. Another reason that the
traditional method continues to maintain its place is due to the
fact that we have just moved into the 21st century which creates low
numbered LDs.
Until this century’s year numbers begin to increase, many new souls
will have very low numbers in their birth dates, therefore SDLDs may
be the only type of LD that you can get. Just think 1-1-2000 could
spawn yet another great humanitarian as these numbers exactly
replicate Bill Gates’ and Annie Besant’s SDLDs! And there will be
others whose birth dates can only spawn SDLDs – their SDLD also
being their WNLD!
