40 as a Tarot Key

page-6-of-CUPS046Since the Page of Cups Key is the 40th card in the Tarot deck, it naturally corresponds to the number 40. And, it is this Tarot Key we are studying here in a bid to uncover what it alerts us to when it appears. You may wish to revise what I wrote about 40 as a number in the previous blog to refresh its attributes in your mind.

If the Page of Cups Key appears in your numbers, take the time to scrutinise its picture to derive clues and answers from it. Search among its signs and symbols to find the ones that are relevant to the person or event being analysed. When you’ve done that, look up several good resources and search among them for applicable keywords and phrases. While busy doing this, your intuition quickly selects certain words or symbols that validate what’s being investigated. This information is what you’re seeking.

To go back to when you were scanning the Page of Cups Key, you would have noted that its imagery was youthful, peaceful and serene. This is when you ask yourself if the Key best fits the person or event. If either the person or event appears happy and untroubled, use the Page Key. Don’t use number 40 because it depicts stress and hardship.

Knowing that you are searching a Key for signs, a major clue exists in its element. All Cup Keys belong to the water element. This means that each one represents different aspects of our highest and lowest emotions and desires. Remembering that, you would expect to find an emotional component attached to the prevailing circumstances surrounding the person or event when a Cup Key is active.

This would be especially so, if the person’s emotions or the emotions surrounding the situation, idea or project are cheerful because something is new, about to begin or is in its early stages of development. The latter is due to this Page generally depicting our animated or enthusiastic feelings prior to whatever is about to begin or is in its early stages of formulation and development; think of an embryonic idea or a seed being planted or a human embryo to comprehend this concept. The vital indicator to this concept is that Pages are youthful. That youthfulness allows us to deduce that whatever this Page is bringing to our attention is in its early stages of development.

As the Page of Cups, is a ‘water Key’, it represents our feelings and attachments to people and things that bring us joy. Hence, this ‘water Page’ stands for experiencing new feelings and emotions when we add the Page’s initiation aspect to them. They manifest as feeling excited by such things as a new friendship or romance, getting a driver’s licence, buying a new home, car or appliance, a labour of love, a new book, a new hobby, learning a new trade or simply experiencing something new that is moving, stimulating or exciting.

So, look for happy, emotionally, animated signs for this Key. They could be about other things such as a new pregnancy or baby, an engagement, an anniversary celebration, a holiday, a special dinner or night at the theatre or buying something you really want. You would also need to take into account that this Page signifies the preparatory stages required to manifest these things like setting things in motion by making plans, setting up a nursery, sending out invitations, saving money or booking venues or tickets and so on.

This Page also depicts new or developing desires, emotions, euphoric feelings, fantasies and idyllic attitudes. However, if they are unrealistican inherent fault in all Cups’ Keysthis Page can represent the start of a relationship breakdown or a miscarriage or cancellation of a celebration when negative. If so, its number 40 comes into play because these situations are emotionally painful which is more to do with 40’s domain.

Consider the following Page of Cups Key possibilities if the above aspects fail to suit the person or situation because Page Keys have other unique attributes apart from being watery and representing our feelings and emotions as well as new or developing options.

They can signify a broad spectrum of young people that extends from adults who have never grown up to teenagers, children and babies. Hence, in an analysis, Page Keys might depict a young person, a baby or someone who is behaving immaturely.

Combine this Page’s pleasure-seeking aspect with its youth aspect and you get links to teenagers and children’s entertainment such as; books, toys, comics, board games, movies, cartoons, video games, mobile phones and iPods.

Pages also represent institutions. This Cups Page relates to institutions that link to the myriad fields of creative arts, entertainment, media, publishing and textile, designing, decorating and beauty industries. It represents anything along those lines but in its initial stages of inception or development like an apprenticeship or new profession or starting up a business.

The above tips and clues provide you with tools to determine how to use the Page of Cups Key. They, with the previous blog, demonstrate how to use 40 as a number and as a Tarot Key in a personal sense. They also demonstrate how to integrate Tarot with numerology to enrich and expand its parameters. The purpose is to reveal numerology’s esoteric side to develop a holistic approach that caters to the myriad possibilities within us on all levels of our beingness.

Therefore, this new, holistic system integrates numerology and Tarot. My Life Diamonds book introduced it. Its appendices contain new keywords and phrases for numbers from 0 to 99 and all Tarot Keys from 0 to 78.

As another means to extend numerology’s parameters, our next blog demonstrates how to work with Yearly Diamonds. Prince William and Kate Middleton's recent engagement is used as the case study.

Looking forward to bringing my next blog to you to ponder.

In Love & Light,
Louise
